It started with a machine that took my kids’ money.
Two different afternoons, same result. One at the Miller Activity Center, one at the pool. My kids fed money into a machine and nothing came out — no refund, no fix, nobody to call. You just eat the loss and move on, because what else can you do?
What stuck with me wasn’t the money. It was that there was no way to make it right — no accountability, no resolution, nobody who owned the problem.
It shows up in how we operate, not just how we talk: our machines run cashless, so if an order ever goes wrong, the customer can flag it right there, and I handle it the same day — usually directly with the person who got shorted. My contact info is on the machine. Not a support line. Me.
